TENS is short for Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation which basically means the application of electric current through the skin for pain control. By placing electrodes over the area you are experiencing discomfort and then sending low frequency electrical currents pulsing through them, you can disrupt the pain signals being sent to the brain bringing about relief. It is considered to be a safe, non-invasive and drug free way to control pain without any toxic side effects.
How does it work?
TENS units are thought to manage pain three different ways:
1: The electric stimulation is thought to interrupt the pain signals traveling up the nerves to the brain, replacing it with a minor tingling sensation. It is pretty much the same effect that rubbing a sore spot has.
2: The low frequency electrical activity triggers the release of endorphins which are chemicals that your body produces in order to deal with pain.
3: The electrical current is also known to increase blood flow to the area being treated. This helps to flush out the inflammatory toxins bringing about natural pain relief.

Using Aurawave to help bring about pain relief has several advantages. device if you are fitted with a cardiac pacemaker or are suffering from
any type of heart problems. You should also see your doctor first if
you are suffering from any pain that has not been medically diagnosed.
People who experience epileptic seizures and women who are pregnant
should also refrain from use.
